Texas Criminal Record Expunctions

Everywhere in the United States, whether it is to rent an apartment or to get a job you are asked to complete applications on which thorough background checks are run. If you have a criminal record it may be very hard for you to get a job or rent a decent home. Texas allows people a second chance through an expunction.

Our attorneys will file an action on your behalf and attempt to purge your criminal record. Several conditions must be met in order to apply for your expunction and even then it is possible the application may not be successful. Success may be a partial or even a complete deletion of your criminal record. Whether the application is successful depends on the crimes alleged, and the circumstances surrounding why you were not convicted of the crime.

The record of some crimes can never be expunged. For those that can, you must have been found not-guilty as a jury trial or the charges must have been dismissed with certain conditions, whether this was through a no-bill from the grand jury, or at the discretion of the prosecutor. Our experienced Texas criminal defense attorneys know whether your situation fits the requirements for expunction, and can help you through the process.

If you have been charged with a crime, our attorneys can help protect your rights. Contact our office to set up a free consultation.

Client Reviews
“This gentleman took a case at the last minute for a friend of mine. He compiled the relevant information within a short period of time, and presented it to the DA--resulting in all charges being dropped. As someone who has worked for lawyers I can say with confidence that Mr. Griffin is exceptionally dedicated and I would not hesitate to recommend him.” Richard
“This Attorney and his staff were a God-send in my custody case! He knew the law well, and helped me remain calm in extremely challenging times. He helped Mediate a very fair settlement, and supported me all the way through!” Anonymous
